Solid Oak Box Sash Windows

Solid Oak Box Sash Windows

At Spittlywood, we have a varied customer base, including the general public and construction companies; this particular job was for an Ashford based period restoration company Unique Building Solutions. The finished Sash windows have been installed on a property in Loose Valley Maidstone.

When working for period restoration companies, the skills of our team come to the fore; our joinery team needs to ensure that any new windows or doors match or closely match the original structure. This is particularly true of Grade One and Grade Two listed buildings.

This post shows Solid Oak Box Sash windows with curved heads and spiral balances to assist sash movement. The window panes consist of 24mm thick double glazing with 22mm astragal bars finished in two coats of Osmo oil.
