We recently designed built and finally installed this attractive Oak staircase in Hamill near Sandwich Kent.
Typically most Oak staircases we create are completed using French Oak; on this occasion, we opted for American white Oak as the wood is more suited to its final surroundings.
American White oak is a strong, durable hardwood. However, the wood itself is pliable and can be bent relatively easily using steam techniques. American White Oak is reasonably easy to work with and reacts well to the addition of polishes and wood stains.
The stairs are created with tried and trusted MDF and finished with an Oak Bullnose tread.
Modern safety glass balustrades finish the contemporary look of this staircase.
